Dana Tanamachi – Speed Lettering
I know I’ve been posting a lot of links to videos of artists working all sped-up.
Well, it’s neat to watch, is why. This one is no exception.
Besides the incredible control of line, Dana Tanamachi’s technique is very interesting. There is also something deeply compelling about how chalk can simply be washed away and worked over, over, and over again.
Dana Tanamachi is a graphic designer living in Brooklyn, New York. She currently spends her days creating large-scale typographic installations in chalk. In 2011, Dana was named a Young Gun (YG9) by the Art Directors Club and a Young Creative to Watch by HOW Magazine. Her client’s list include Rugby Ralph Lauren, The Ace Hotel, West Elm, and Bloomingdale’s.
